This might seem a little minor but it has definitely made a big change for me.
I hate Armstrong's skatepark. Absolutely hate it.
It has uninspired me to skate, even if my board wasn't in 2 pieces I'd still only be riding it as a means of transportation. It sucks that hard.
It was designed by two chicks, 5 or so years ago (according to what I have been told).
It's not so much the design though, it's how it's built and the size.
If you really wanted you could go and pretty much master everything the part has to offer.
There's only one good quarter pipe, the rest of them are shit because the coping is set to far out.
I can't really say much for the halfpipe, as I've only biked it but it seemed okay I guess. The mini pipe is absolutely horrible though.
There is one good feature that most parks (that I've seen and been to) don't have is a concrete wave. That's entertaining for a whole 5 minutes.
There's not a whole lot else to say without being able to show you what I'm talking about..
Coquitlam (LaFarrage lake) skatepark > A-town's skatepark. Flat out.

you know what, the armstrong skate park is well known around the okanagan or maybe even bc for how well it is built and set up, you are just trying to find things wrong with this town when actually nothing is wrong with it..you just don't look for the good things your just focuss on the "bad" things that are here and its really quite annoying
Haha, it may be known to Thompson, merely because the Okanagan is small.
But BC? No.
It has a good design (like I already said) but it isn't built good at all.
But you wouldn't exactly know that know would you?
The good things in Armstrong - Weed, Alc, very little rain and lots of people to laugh at.
That's all.
your just negative all the time and its stupid, why not write blogs about things that are good and that are actually important, cause these blogs that you write about armstrong are actually quite offending to the people like me who have lived here there entire life and have learned to love it, your just stubborn and wont ever learn to find good things about this place
i read all your rants about armstrong, and i agree with them mostly ;
but then again i always wished i was out of armstrong cuz i hated it . it was too small , people were wangsters , no good stores etc .
but i had to move three years ago , and MAN do i wish i hadn't . now that i look back on it some of the best times of my life happened in armstrong . like you wouldn't have to walk forever to get somewhere in town . hell , outside of town was 10 minutes away from the center ! or you could generally make friends easy , and Len Wood was the fuckin best . i could rant about good and bad things . . but i miss that town .
and yes i know your post was a month ago ; sorry lol .
